Clinker ball mills are widely used in cement grinding due to their ability to produce well-shaped particles with stable fineness. The ground cement features improved hydration performance, which contributes to better strength development at later stages. With a cylinder diameter typically ranging from 2.2 m to 4.2 m, a single unit can deliver a production capacity of approximately 11-130 tons per hour, depending on the material characteristics and process conditions.

Working Principle

A clinker ball mill generally consists of 2 to 4 grinding chambers. Materials are fed into the first chamber through a feeding device and screw system, ensuring uniform distribution.

Inside the first chamber, stepped liners and grinding media of various sizes are installed. As the cylinder rotates, centrifugal force lifts the grinding media to a certain height before they fall, generating impact and attrition forces that crush the material.

After the initial grinding stage, the material passes through a diaphragm into the next chamber. This chamber is equipped with corrugated or flat liners and smaller grinding media for finer grinding.

Finally, the finished powder is discharged through the outlet grate, completing the entire grinding process.
